1.NPTI(WR), Nagpur is conducting the capacity building of DISCOM Employees across Maharashtra and Gujarat under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) which is a flagship program of the Ministry of Power . The objective of RDSS is the following:

• Reducing AT&C losses to 12-15% by 2024-25
• Closing the ACS-ARR gap to zero by 2024-25
• Improving the financial sustainability and operational efficiencies of all DISCOMs/ Power Departments

2. NPTI(WR), Nagpur is conducting various onsite capacity building programs for the skill development and awareness under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana for the DISCOM employees and other agencies of Maharashtra and Gujarat for the next two years. This scheme provides for a subsidy of 60% of the solar unit cost for systems up to 2kW capacity and 40 percent of additional system cost for systems between 2 to 3kW capacity. The subsidy has been capped at 3kW capacity. At current benchmark prices, this will mean Rs 30,000 subsidy for 1kW system, Rs 60,000 for 2kW systems and Rs 78,000 for 3kW systems or higher.
