About NSRC:
The National SCADA Resource Centre (NSRC) is a specialized facility dedicated to advancing the technology, implementation, and management of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, particularly in critical infrastructure sectors like power distribution and automation. The NSRC plays a crucial role in advancing SCADA technology, ensuring its secure and efficient implementation in the power sector, and supporting the development of skilled professionals in this field.

Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition
A Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition has been envisaged by NPTI in collaboration with GIZ with the aim to first build awareness in this area and then for providing training and capacity building along with research and development. This Centre will serve the purpose of hand holding discoms in navigating the challenges of this Energy Transition. Three core components are envisaged in the center of excellence for Energy Transition:
- Energy Modeling and Energy Transitions Centre
- Demand Forecasting and Resource Adequacy Studies
- Integration of Renewable Energy in DISCOMs
The Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition is focused on research, innovation, Training & Capacity building and collaborations in sustainable energy solutions. The mission of this setup will help accelerate the global transition to renewable energy through fostering collaboration among stakeholders like Transmission, Distribution, Market and Regulator etc. The core objective is to drive innovation, promote knowledge sharing, provide training and technical assistance for energy transition initiatives taken in India.
Centre of Excellence for “Smart Metering & Data Analytics Lab” at Global Skills Park, Bhopal
Centre Of Excellence- Smart Metering & Data Analytics Lab is being set up by Ministry of Higher Technical Education, M.P. Govt. in collaboration with NPTI. This Lab will be established in SSR Global Skill Park, COSA II, Hazrat Nizamuddin Road, Nerila Shankari, Sector B, Indrapuri, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. CoE is envisaged as the training center focused on short-term or upskilling training will be operated by NPTI. This advanced center aspires to serve as an interlinkage between the industry and the institute modelled on a customized and industry cooperated training, executed through partnership with industry partners or reputed training companies.
