About Post Diploma Course

The course consists of two semesters covering formal training at Institutes & industrial/field training. Course Details are tabulated below:

1 PDC in Power Plant Engineering (52 Weeks) Covers the familiarisation of power plant operation and maintenance including thermal, solar, wind, biomass and other energy sources with exposure to on-the-job training to reinforce operational and maintenance practices and concepts. The program also meets the ongoing and emerging needs of the power sector by developing trained personnel who will gain competence in operation, maintenance, and commissioning principles of plants based on different energy sources.


Who can Apply?

Candidates holding a full-time Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Civil / Mechanical / C&I from a recognized technical board/institution, with minimum aggregate marks of 60% along with minimum 60% marks in 10th/12th class.


Course Fee Details

Post Diploma Course (PDC) in Power Plant Engineering (52 weeks)
Non-Sponsored Candidates Total Course Fee: Rs. 1,30,000/- + 18% GST (Admission Process Fee: Rs. 10,000/- + GST)
Balance Fee: To be paid in two installments of Rs. 60,000/- + 18% GST (each after confirmation of seat)
Sponsored Candidates Total Course Fee: Rs. 2,05,000/- + 18% GST (Admission Process Fee: Rs. 10,000/- + GST)
Balance Fee: To be paid in two installments of Rs. 97,500/- + 18% GST (each after confirmation of seat)

Location: Badarpur, Durgapur, Nagpur & Neyveli

Note: Admission Process Fee is refundable on withdrawal or non-acceptance of admission.
Special 10% discount is applicable for female applicants only in tuition fee and there is no fee concession to any other category of students.

Need for the Course?

The main aim of the course is to create a pool of technically trained manpower readily available for serving to the State, Central, Public Sector and Private Power Utilities and allied industries etc., in the area of Operation and Maintenance of Power Plants.

This Post Diploma course satisfies the mandatory requirement of Indian Electricity Rules Act as per CEA notification 20th September, 2010, Government of India Gazette Notification.

To create a healthy environment at the workplace, this may contribute in improving performance and efficiency of plants and encourage excellence.
