National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is a National Apex body for fulfilling the training requirements of the power sector in the country formed by Gazette notification of Govt. of India dated: 03.07.1993. It was erstwhile named at Power Engineers’ Training Society (PETS) as an organ for Thermal Power Station Personnel Training Institute (A registered society governed by CEA, MoP, GoI) and came into existence in 1965 with its first institute at Neyvelli, TN. NPTI is an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001: 2015 certified leading Training Institute under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India for Human Resources Development in the National Power Sector with its Corporate Office at Faridabad. NPTI has been providing its dedicated service for more than Six (6) decades and trained more than 4,50,000 power professionals in regular programs. NPTI operates on an all-India basis through its Eleven (11) Institutes in the different zones of the country.
NPTI, Shivpuri (M.P.) is one of the latest and State-of-the-Art Institute of National Power Training Institute established to function since 2020. The campus is spread over a picturesque landscape of about 15 acres on the lap of Madhav National Park. The campus is located on National Highways NH3, A.B Road, Satanwada; Shivpuri district, just about 100 kms from Gwalior towards Indore Highway and situated 18 kms away from Shivpuri Railway Station and Bus stand.
