CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME FOR Techno-Economic Hydro Power Project Appraisal
Since 2000, USAIDÔÇÖs South Asia Regional Initiative/Energy (SARI/E) program has focused on advocating energy cooperation in South Asia. To assist, USAID SARI/EI has assigned the United States Energy Association (USEA) with the task of implementing programs focused on capacity building. As such, USEA planned to conduct a series of activities in FY 2016 under the Energy Utilities Partnership Program (EUPP) mechanism that will bolster Nepal and the other SAARC nationÔÇÖs readiness in the areas of hydro power project techno-economic assessment and power finance. These activities would accelerate Nepal-India electricity trade, while also providing the other SARI/EI countries with valuable knowledge to facilitate existing and future cross-border trade.
